Spring is all around....

Lately I have started noticing gorgeous weather creeping up on us ever so slowly, and living in North East it is very easy to believe that it is summer at about 10 degrees! However, it has been sunny, and surprisingly warm (for march anyways)and Yesterday I was awoken by the gardener cutting the grass and it smelt like summer. I loved it. Today marks the official first day of spring, 17 days until my Birthday, and 10 days until I go to London for the weekend to visit my sister. Exciting times.

The warm weather has had me daydreaming of digging out my sandals and maxi skirts, as well as ditching the heavy jumpers and coats for a while. Although to me, a new season definitely just means one thing, an excuse to go shopping. (Although I rarely require an excuse.) Cue summery style Wishlist, which goes great alongside a summery soundtrack, fyi!

Elegant Touch Pre-glued false nails. Review

False Nails in O'natural x-short. Elegant Touch available at boots and Superdrug.

I don't wear false nails very often, because I like my nails painted as I've said before, but last weekend I went home, and I was going out with friends and had forgotten to bring home any nail varnish, so went out and bought false nails.

These were a completely accidental purchase, as I thought I was picking up the unglued ones, but I am so very glad I made that mistake.
These nails are amazing. when I originally saw that they were pre-glued when I got them home I was debating whether or not to try them or to just try and return but I'm so glad I gave them a chance. The Major difference for me is how the glue on these doesn't damage your nails.
the glue on them doesn't dry hard like regular nail glue, allowing for slight movement, which also means that if you bang them a few times they don't fall off as easily, which is good as I am majorly clumsy!

To put this is in Perspective I first put them on Saturday night, and I didn't remove them until Thursday evening, and that was only so that I could have Green Nails for St. Patrick's Day!

one downside: if one or two do fall off, you cant stick them back on temporarily like you can other false nails, as the glue starts to lose its stickiness, But I don't think this is a major downside to be honest!

Okay, so I know this is a fashion Blog, but I am doing a journalism degree, and I want to highlight things in the world that are shocking.
this video has gone viral so quickly, and I watched it this morning and pretty much cried throughout. I want to share it with you and I hope you will all share it on.

Striped Statement Nail: Rimmel 'Black Cherries' Barry M 'Grey'

Aztec Print: Barry M 'Grey' and 'Light Blue'

Just a small selection of my ever-expanding Nail Polish collection
I've always loved painting my nails. At school, I frequently got in trouble for having the brightest, boldest Nail Polish on, even though we weren't allowed to wear any, and I don't think an outfit looks right when I don't have my nails painted.

This obsession started off with just a few plain colours of polish, but have recently expanded into nail art. I'm not very good at it, but I'm just having fun and experimenting with different colour combinations and designs, while trying to improve what I can do. At the moment I'm sticking to spots and Stripes and basic shapes, but hopefully will be able to go ahead of this soon.

I've discovered a girls best friend in these simple designs- Sellotape! Do not underestimate what it can do for you, it keeps one part of the nails free from nail polish allowing you to be as heavy handed as you'd like, considering I don't have the steadiest hand ever.

Now, I'm not saying I'm gonna be the manicurist at WAH! nails or anything, in fact I'm not very good at it, but I like doing it and I think it can be a bit more effective than just plain polish and block colours. hopefully if I keep doing I'll get better, after all practice makes perfect!

One of my Favourite blogs is llymlrs and she often has nail art featured on her blog, and I saw recently that she talked about these nail pens, so I might just purchase these and practice.

I get some inspiration for designs from both her blog, Wah nails bar's twitter account, and Pinterest (Follow me HERE)

Ps. Apologies for the poor quality images. these were originally just taken to be put on Twitter so not intentionally for the Blog!
