The Jewellery Edit

Necklaces
I love statement necklaces. Give me a chunky chain and a bit of bling and I'm a happy bunny. These three necklaces are a few out of my (admittedly too) large collection, and the three that I wear most.
The jeweled Accessorize number is my ultimate fave. It goes with so much because of the range of colours, and the fact that it makes something simple, like a black tank and jeans or a LBD look better.
The chunky gold chain goes with literally EVERYTHING. it was a bargainous £5 from H&M and 6 months after purchase it still hasn't tarnished at all. Fabulous.
The black bow necklace is in my favourites list for sentimental reasons probably. My sister bought it for my 21st, and it also looks pretty good with my favourite Célfie tee.

Rings
As you can probably tell, I love a good set of stacking rings, and midi rings are my newest jewellery obsession. Most of these are H&M which is my ultimate favourite jewellry stand on the high street, but my absolute favourites are my Pandora stacking rings.
The crown ring was also a 21st present from my sister and the other two were christmas presents from Mum. My family have very good taste!
The two arrow midi rings have got a little tarnished, but I quite like how that has made them look, so I actually wear them more now.

Bracelets
All of these were birthday presents, and all are now items I can't imagine not having to hand when accessorising.
A Watch should be an essential item in everyone's wardrobe, and I love the simplicity  of this one. A few diamonds without too much bling, and nice neat face which doesn't look too chunky on my wrists.
My Pandora bracelet was a 21st present from my flatmates, and the charms were both for my birthday as well. I much prefer the rope style bracelets to the original chain style, and the colour matches my rings perfectly.
My final favourite piece of jewellery is my rose gold Swarovski bracelet. Its one of those items which I don't wear everyday, but I know that I'll pull out for a special occasion for years to come.

Strap on your running shoes...

Anyone that has known me my whole life will probably describe me as the most unathletic person ever. I've never stepped foot inside a gym and haven't done sport since I was about 13 in PE. I'm not an unhealthy person, I eat pretty well, apart from the odd chinese takeaway and icecream night, but a little while ago I started noticing that I was actually really unfit. I couldn't walk long distances without getting out of breath and running for the last bus? nearly impossible.

I decided to get up off my sofa, press pause on the netflix, and go running. yes, I know, I was shocked too! I've only been for a few runs at this stage, and although I was massively struggling at the start, I'm still not going anywhere fast, but I find I can get much further before I have to stop and take a breath, I feel much better on a day to day basis, and I find the little things I struggled with before much easier to do.

It's almost like I didn't realise quite how bad my fitness was until it got better. I'm starting to eat a little healthier, but I'm not dieting or anything, I just want to be able to walk up a big flight of stairs without getting breathless and I've also had a bit of bad skin recently so I'm hoping a healthier diet will help that.

Like I say, its early days but I'm trying to set myself targets so that I actually stick to a resolution for once in my life. Also, I never thought I'd be the girl who got excited over new trainers and gym stuff, but I bought some new nikes last week and I swear they're my new favourite thing. So in order to make myself less freaked out over what I've become, I decided to make a little wishlist of sport clothes. Well, Some things never change!

1) USA Pro galaxy print sports bra £9

2) H&M Running tights £14.99

3) Nike Logo vest top

4) Adidas Floral running shorts £35

5) Primark palm tree crop top £6

Summed up

Top- Primark// Skirt- H&M// Necklace- Accessorize//Boots- H&M

Today I had uni all day and I pretty much feel like I live there at the moment. But in between lessons I was helping Melody film a video for Fashion North, the new website we're part of for uni, and so I took the opportunity to get Nancy to take a few cheeky pics as I hadn't done an outfit post in a really long time.

I slept in this morning and so very little thought was put into this outfit, other than, "is this clean? does this match? Good enough!" but I managed to get a few compliments on it so it seemed to work out okay. Most of this is super old and super cheap, (perfect for a uni budget really) The top is on its last legs at this point and that makes me really sad because it matches so many things so I need to replace it asap really.

I even included a shot of me laughing, because I always think I look like a moody cow on my outfit snaps! The rest of this week is going to be spent doing yet more uni work and partying on behalf of halloween, which will be a nice break from the books!

So 20's not THAT scary....

It's been a while hasn't it? I've been home for the Easter holidays so I thought it would be nice to switch off so I could spend time with all the people I missed while I was away. Plenty of things happened while I was home, the biggest of which being- I turned 20!! Yes that's right, I am now officially no longer a teenager and am progressing into adulthood slowly but steadily.
That is a totally terrifying prospect, especially since I only have one more year left of student life. I avoided it for about a week, but eventually had to go changing my age on all my social networking bio's. That's a tedious job if ever there was one.
Oasis Pattern Trouser H&M Jacket

Staying on the subject of birthdays but veering more towards the exciting bit, lets talk pressies! I got lots of attention, cake and fun times, but my family also spoiled me with the presents this year.
H&M Jacket
My sister bought me this gorgeous mint Jacket from H&M, which will be a perfect wardrobe addition for summer. I've wanted a tweed jacket for a while now, and I think stealing borrowing hers a few times made her realise its exactly what I needed. I love jackets, because they can change a look completely, as well as being the fash-signal to say that spring has finally arrived.

Oasis Pattern Trouser
The next beautiful present is courtesy of Mum, who definitely appreciates my love for a good pair of flowery, patterned trousers. I think I must look longingly at a pair nearly every time we go shopping, so she definitely got the hint on that one. Both her and my sister know me too well. I can't wait to style these up with some cute ballet flats and my denim jacket.

Having a birthday in springtime is brilliant, its basically a way to sort your entire new season wardrobe out in one go, and it definitely makes being 20 a little bit easier if I can look good while doing it.

Recent purchases

Black Shirt-Warehouse//White Shirt-H&M//Trousers-Topshop

These are some of the things I've purchased lately, The black shirt and the trousers were both sale bargains, while the white shirt was just one of those items that I saw and thought "I must have it!". I've been looking for a nice white shirt for ages and this one is the first I've found that doesn't look like part of a school uniform!
This is my first post of the new year, so I hope everyone enjoyed theirs, and that you all have less horrendous things than me to do, as I currently slave away at the revision.

OOTD: Nude Stripes

Top-Internacionale//Skirt-H&M//Bag-Primark//Shoes-Topshop

I wore this out on Monday night for a friends Birthday. I saw the skirt in H&M and I had to have it, and it was a bargain so I could just about afford to! The top is last season, and I got it for my birthday, but they just matched so well, that I didn't know what else to match the skirt with.

At the moment, life is just one long assignment. its the only thing I seem to do these days. I am counting down the days until Christmas as well, by the time it comes round I won't have been home in four months, and I've never been away from home that length yet. I'm very excited!

Leather loving (all over again.)

I love a bit of leather, and apparently the whole of fashion does too at the moment because it is a massive trend. I have a few leather pieces in my own wardrobe, One leather jacket I adore, a leather skater dress and a black dress with leather panelling.

I remember being about 11 years old when leather was a big thing on the high street before, and my older sister and I begged for new clothes for Christmas when our aunty bought me a gorgeous leather skirt, which I still remember I loved more because it had hot pink lining! And my sister got a pair of leather trousers. I remember her wearing those a LOT, and now that its back in style I'm certainly loving it all over again, so I have gone through the high street and designer websites and found my key pieces that I think every girl should have in her wardrobe this season.

Leather I love

1. Peplum Dress - £29.99 H&M
I've said it before and I'll say it again, probably about 100 times, I love peplums. This dress grabs two huge trends and puts them together, and its under £30. Whats not to love?

2. Leather Biker trousers - £295 All Saints
Okay so these come with a pretty hefty price tag, but they are gorgeous, and the fit is really flattering. Although its hard to tell they're also a really nice plum shade so they are an upgrade on all the black leather. I honestly think they are an investment piece, and totally worth the price tag.

3. Contrast Mac - £85 River Island
Macs are the sort of coat that come in every year and are completely timeless, but sometime they can look so boring, because they've all been done before. This one however has a nice little upgrade on the leather sleeves, making it anything but boring, and yet the colour still makes it neutral and classic.

4. Red and Black top- £16.99 SheInside.com
Yes I know, another peplum, but this is such a nice top with the contrasting colours and the sheer sleeves, its really unusual, and within probably every ones budget. I hadn't ever heard of this website before I went looking for leather pieces, but its a really nice site with a few cute pieces.

5. Black Bag- £95 Topshop
No girls wardrobe is complete without a classic black bag, and this one from topshop is no exception. Its real leather so that's a bonus and I really like the subtle detailing.

Weekly Wishlist #1

Weekly Wishlist 4.10.12

I have decided to start doing weekly Wishlists on my Blog so that I will always be posting. This weeks is full of gorgeous things that I cannot afford. (except for the H&M top. I've bought that, and I love it. so technically cheating?)

1. Peplum top- £14.99 H&M. As I said above, I have bought this and I love it, its flattering, comfortable, and it makes me feel like Lana Del Rey, simply because she wore it in the advert.

 2. Fur collar Coat- £85.00 River Island. I love this coat, I shouldn't, but I do. I tried it on and fell in love more, but then read the price tag and backed away slowly. and sadly. I think I actually had to wipe away a tear from my eye.

 3. Lace Playsuit- £60 Topshop. I think this playsuit is really simple, and I need it in my life. Preferably now please.

 4. Ring- £100 Pandora. I have wanted a Pandora ring for ages. I'm not a massive fan of the bracelets, but I do love the rings, and this is my ultimate favourite. A girl can dream.

High street collaborations continue.

It seems to me, that H&M are unable to stop thinking up ways to get me to love them more! After falling in love first with their Versace collection, then their Marni collaboration, they announced two more collections at the beginning of this month that made me so excited, I barely made it through the month!

Anna Dello Russo will design an accessory line for the brand.

I first heard the exciting news that Anna Dello russo, the brains behind Japanese vogue, was desinging an accessories collection for the brand. Anna is known for her wacky sense of style, and over the top fashion sense, and Personally I can't wait to inject a bit of this into my own wardrobe.
Of the collection, Anna said :"This is the sign of an important evolution in fashion, and I am both thrilled and humbled to be the one chosen to lead it. I wanted to create precious accessories that are impossible to find.  As a stylist I know accessorization is essential: it is the personal touch to any outfit. With these pieces everybody can have fun, turning an ordinary day into a fantastic fashion day!"

This collection launches October 4th, and I can't wait to get in line!

Just as I was recovering from this news, The High Street brand dropped another fashion bombshell on us. A collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela! Eeeeek!
For those of you unfamiliar with Maison Martin Margiela, it is a French Fashion house,  which describes itself as: "iconoclast, avant-garde and experimental, the Maison expresses its creativity through recycling, transformation and reinterpretation - like an emotion, a unique and timeless proposal defying all laws and rules."

This collection launches on November 15 in 230 stores worldwide, as well as online.

I need to start saving.
And go for a lie down, all this fashion excitement has affected me slightly!

Happy Easter! OOTD

Dress: Religion
Blazer: H&M
Bag: Next
Shoes:Oasis
Jewellery: Argento,H&M,Citizen.

Happy Easter everyone! Hope everyone had a nice day and got lots of easter eggs! I went to a hotel with my family for dinner and took these pictures outside it because it was gorgeous. I would've got more but it started to rain, the Joys of Irish weather!!!

I got this dress in religion on Brick Lane when I went to London last weekend, and had to have it! I wish that I had taken these shoes home with me to wear with it instead of the brogues I am wearing but that's one of the issues of Student Life and airline baggage allowances!
Got my hair cut yesterday too, and although its not VERY short, I feel like I've cut it all off because it had finally got so long! It grows quickly enough though, so hopefully it will be back to what it was soon enough!
