Worldwide Wardrobe Competition: Part 1

Sightseeing in Paris

Paris is my dream destination, and I'm currently the last person in my family that hasn't visited. I know, so unfair! I'm begging my sister to save up so that we can book a few days there this summer, just so I can stand outside Coco Chanel's house for hours and stare.

Street style in Paris is so chic and sophisticated  and this is my ultimate sightseeing outfit to blend in with the locals! The obligatory Breton top gets a cute 2013 makeover with some black lace trim from Warehouse (£21), and I would pair it with this midi length, Topshop skirt (£48), as this is such a simple, but classic look, and I would totally bag myself a hot french boyfriend dressed like this!

Speaking of bags, I've fallen in love with this Orange Zara beauty (£29.99), and this would add the necessary pop of colour to the monochrome look, (and lets all remember how much I love monochrome!) and its still big enough to hold all those essentials I carry but definitely do not need. And last but not least, the shoes! I know that for sightseeing it should be comfort all the way, but look at them, and lets face it, we should all suffer for fashion!

So many shoes, So little funds...

Zara womens shoes, high heels, midi heels, flats.

I always would have said that I was totally in love with shoes. When I was little I remember having various tantrums in Clarks when my mum wouldn't let me have the pretty princess style shoes that I wanted and instead made me buy sensible black school shoes. Even before I had much of a fashion sense (Take that as living in Jeans and badly fitting t-shirts) I could get a bit too excited about a nice pair of shoes.

However, in the last year or so I found myself falling out of love with anything other than majorly beautiful and expensive designer heels. Before going to London on work placement I realised that the one key thing I needed to purchase was some decent black shoes, but a full day shopping and I came home empty-handed. This is largely due to the fact that the high street were creating some absolute shocking shoe designs. No, I don't want Glittery wedges thanks, and those wedge trainers? Don't get me started! I think its probably because I'm very girly in the way I dress. If something doesn't make me feel elegant, or like I could be the next Disney princess, then I don't want to part with my money for it.

However, one high street store has come to my rescue and reignited my love for footwear. Step up Zara and let me have everything currently in your shoe section! From the most beautiful, girly ballerina pumps, to elegant midi-heels, I need them all. Yes, NEED! Now just to wait for loan day, but drive myself crazy looking at my bookmarks everyday until then. I've picked out some of my total favourites below, but this was a very hard decision to make!

Mad For Monochrome

Mad for Monochrome
1//2//3//4//5

Monochrome is one of those terms you hear thrown about a lot in fashion, and every season, it seems to dominate the catwalks and the high street, but it never seems to get boring.

Brands seem to keep it fresh with fabulous styling and some interesting patterns and shapes, and this season is no different. The five pieces above are just some of the amazing things available on the high street at the moment. With everyone from Topshop to Kurt Geiger getting in on it, there's something monochrome out there for everyone.

It's amazing as a colour palette because it never dates, and it suits most ages and skintones. One of the favourite pieces in my wardrobe is my Zara monochrome blazer which I've blogged about before, and It will be coming out of my wardrobe again this summer.

The Jacket above is from Zara and another one I'm considering adding to my collection. As for the trousers, well, I'm totally in love with a good printed trouser, so for me these tick every box.
If you follow the blog on facebook, you'll have seen my post about these gorgeous shoes and how much I really really NEED them (Yes, Mr. Bank Manager, they are a necessity!) I think they are the perfect summer heel!

Which Monochrome pieces are you loving at the moment? Or do you totally hate the trend?

Black nights

 Leather Jacket- Warehouse//Top-River Island//
Leather Panel Leggings- Zara//Black Glitter Heels- Next

I had absolutely no intention of going out last night, but some last minute discussing with my friend meant an impromptu night out. Unfortunately I hadn't really packed anything to go out in so I wore the new trousers I got for Christmas, with this River Island top that I got in last years Boxing day sales for about a fiver!

I had such a lovely Christmas  filled with family, friends and amazing food. Everything I love! Now to start revision and assignments and have my Christmas bubble well and truly burst! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas too.
Thanks to my little cousin for these pictures too! she was roped into it and I guess she'll make a fab little photographer some day!

Black and White.

Jacket-Zara
Scarf-Primark
Jeans Primark
Jewellery- Thomas Sabo, Citizen, Cath Kidston,
H&M, Accessorize.

Wore this today, to meet my cousin for lunch, rolled up the sleeves on the jacket to make it slightly less dressy.

Love this jacket, I saw a Stella McCartney version about a year ago and have been on the hunt for a student-budget-friendly version ever since! Thanks to my mum, as she found this Zara beauty and got it for my birthday.

This is the Primark version of the Alexander McQueen scarf that everyone and the gran seems to have now. They also appear to be selling one in every colour of the rainbow, but you can't beat the good old Black and White.

Still feel strange just posing in front of the camera. Feel so awkward! Trying to get used to it soon!
